Get in the Ring

Get in the Ring is a non-profit event concept, initiated by the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship to bring promising entrepreneurs in contact with investors and to inspire visitors to start their entrepreneurial journey.

The Investment Battle is the international competition of Get in the Ring, where entrepreneurs try to secure their investment up to €1,000,000. Between July and November the battle will take place, with the ‘grande finale’ during the Global Entrepreneurship Week in the Netherlands on the 20th of November 2013.

The Investment Battle consists of three rounds and is organized with many international organizing partners. During The Nationals, National Hosts are responsible for the selection of the best entrepreneurs in their country. The selected entrepreneurs will present their company in the second round, The International Clash, at the Sprout Challengerday. A panel of experienced investors together with the visitors of the Sprout Challengerday, which is the biggest entrepreneurship event in the Netherlands, will have the last vote. They will decide which eight entrepreneurs get the chance to pitch in front of four international champions at the finale of Get in the Ring.

The Investment Battle is both for organizers and participants a great opportunity. The international orientation and the unique way of pitching provide a fruitful ground for inspiration, networking, and investments.
