Global Entrepreneurship Week / Croatia Anthem to entrepreneurship

Being aware how music and sports have great impact on young people all over the globe we discussed how to bring closer to the wider community the simmilarity between sports and entrepreneurship. Both, sports and entrepreneurship, need teams to be successful.
We came to the idea that Croatian talented musitians, not yet well know to the public but very eager to do something different, could contribute to the global celebration of entrepreneurship by creating an anthem for entrepreneurs throughout the globe.

Announcement of GEW in Croatia
Traditionally from 2005 during the celebration of the European week in Split, UMIS-SMEA partner European Movement Split www.ep-split.hr organizes the announcement presentation of EDE - the European Day of the Entrepreneur in Croatia. This year European Movement Split is also a partner in the 1st Global Entrepreneurship Week in Croatia, so we announced it as well.
Ms. Tija Osmanovic, UMIS-SMEA expert coordinator for GEW in Croatia made a presentation in which she explained the goals and methods to achieve the goals of GEW.
She pointed the support to GEW from UK Prime minister Gordon Brown.
Among other participants the high level representative of the Split - Dalmatia county was present.
It was our pleasure to meet our partner from Split.
At the end she showed the list of the first ten countries by the number of partners.
The discussion afterwords was very vivid and we compared the preparation of GEW simmilar to the sports game.
At the end of official programme we had the honour to enjoy in wonderful performance by 24 years old Split tenor singer Igor Cukrov.
When he was 7 he was the winner of the Split childrens' festival "Prvi pljesak" (First aplause).
In 2007 he was the winner among 400 young debitant singers and was given the honour to open Split festival 2007 with a song writen for him by a Croat living in Germany whose heart is still in Split and Croatia.
