Global Innovation Game (GiG) turns ideas into social action wrapped in fun. Choose from hundreds of topical challenges in environment, technology, energy, health and more. GiG is the game for aspiring change agents everywhere, played in 20 countries! Use our innovation capital (iCaps) currency to buy and sell ideas you see in the Solutions stream and build virtual wealth in the game. Post an idea yourself in response to a Challenge and rally friends to buy it! You can also use iCaps to pledge behind real-world actions using our Promises feature. You earn iCaps free and can buy more with Facebook Credits.

Build status in GiG by earning points as an Ambassador, Socialite, Influencer and Investor. Compete to work your way up our global leaderboard!

- How to make GiG part of your GEW event and energize your audience:

Play a challenge related to the theme of your event. Search our Challenges stream by topic then direct your audience into GiG to play the challenge. Want to customize a challenge for your audience? E-mail a suggested challenge question to: challenge@globalmindgames.com.

Inspire your audience to take action with our new Promises feature! A Promise is a personal, real-world response to a challenge in GiG. Click on the Promise icon in any challenge, describe your planned action, set a pledge goal and rally your Facebook friends for support. Once your goal is met, launch your Promise! A Promise can be practical, like planting trees in response to an environmental challenge, or theatrical, like dressing up as a wind turbine. Be creative!

Multiply the fun and expand the impact of your event: ask the audience to invite Facebook friends to join in. In GiG, just click Invite in your profile and choose from your Facebook friends. And click on any Facebook icon to share the content you add in the game.

When does the game end? As a real-time, worldwide social game, GiG goes on and on. Play as often as you like. We’ll cast a global spotlight on the top player during GEW in November.
