U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Talks Access To Finance

Pakistan had an amazing week for GEW this year with lots of events and a great collaboration with the U.S. Embassy. Yesterday the U.S. Ambassador Richard E. Hoagland spoke the importance of entrepreneurship in Pakistan during a conversation on “Access to Finance”. Ambassador Hoagland said, “Business makes country prosperous.We are also working very closely with educational institutions, corporate organizations and the mentors to promote entrepreneurship in the country. We are supporting and even funding Pvt Ltd. Companies to start up and enhance their business”
Throughout the Week Pakistan has held a number of discussions that covered topics important to entrepreneurs such as “Financial and HR Challenges for Entrepreneurs and Start-ups”; High Impact Technology Business; Social Entprepreneurship; and Women’s Entrepreneurship.
Many of the discussions were attended by students from many of the universities around Pakistan. The Students were especially excited and thankful for the activities saying:
"The second day of GEW Week-long celebrations of Global Entrepreneurship Week at Abasyn University Islamabad Campus went great” said the students of Muhammad Ali Jinnah University.
A group of Iqra University students mentioned, “We are very excited and looking forward to participate in the whole week of celebrations as we had never been exposed to such interesting entrepreneurship focused events”
