On 14th November 2012 in the Embassy of the United States in Warsaw as a part of the "Global Entrepreneurship Week" a conference took place organized by the Forum of the Young of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewiatan.
The subject of the conference: "American entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship in the United States" has attracted ambitious students of Warsaw universities, who would like to establish their own companies in the future.
Discussion concerning entrepreneurs in the United States and Poland was chaired by Brenda VanHorn and Daniel Hall from the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw. Among invited guests there were Joel Montgomery from Endeavor Global, Angelo Pressello from Direct Communications, and Sean Gilfillan representing the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw. They took part in a panel discussion and Q&A part, and presented shortly the American sense of entrepreneurship and talked about their own experiences.
A nice surprise was a warm welcome of the participants by the new U.S. Ambassador in Poland Stephen Mull. He talked about the changes of Polish business, which have taken place
since his last visit in the 90s.
The most important conclusions of the conference? Being brave, doing what we love and not letting setbacks discouraging us, since those things create our experience. U.S. Ambassador quoted words of Thomas Edison saying: "I have not failed. I've just found 10.000 ways that will not work".
Nice and energetic panelists motivated students to act. The participants of the conference left the embassy full of ideas, imbued with good energy as well as positive attitude.
