More than 125 countries are officially participating in Global Entrepreneurship Week this November. The number continues the steady growth of the campaign since it launched in 2008 with 77 countries.

Hosts in five new countries have recently joined the movement and are coordinating efforts for November 2012:

• Estonia – Just last week, the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Tartu joined the ranks of GEW host organizations. The University of Tartu is the national university of Estonia and one of the oldest in northern Europe--dating back to 1632. The Centre was established in 2003 and is now a full-fledged academic department. 
• Myanmar – MacComm PR Communications is guiding efforts in Myanmar. The firm's founder, Wilson How, helped to set up the International Economy Research Institute in the country back in 2009. 
• Bhutan – The Loden Foundation is guiding efforts in Bhutan. It is dedicated to the promotion of education, learning and entrepreneurship--and has been running programs to promote business creation since 2007.
• St. Vincent and the Grenadines – In August, Youth Business SVG accepted the lead role for GEW for the Carribean nation. The organization is focused on training, mentoring and supporting local entrepreneurs as a sustainable solution to persistent poverty and youth unemployment in the country.
• Cote d'Ivoire – Also in August, Startup Initiative Côte d'ivoire stepped forward to manage GEW in the West African country (also known as the Ivory Coast).

In addition to the five countries above, a new host organization agreed to lead the Philippines starting in 2013.
