Denmark has many talented entrepreneurs and growth companies, and more is needed. Over the course of the past several years, the Ministry of Business and Growth has put considerable effort into encouraging and equipping its citizens to become more entrepreneurial.
Through Global Entrepreneurship Week and its national campaign, the Ministry of Business and Growth has successfully engaged a broad coalition of partners and held hundreds of events each year and been a key catalyst to encourage entrepreneurship in Denmark.
The initiative for the 2012 campaign was to show how it is possible to succeed as an entrepreneur and get a business to grow. The campaign featured events, jumping boards, workshops, lectures and advice, where Danish and foreign experts made their knowledge available. There where events for everyone - from young entrepreneurs to directors with growth ambitions. The campaign surpassed already lofty expectations. 20.000 participated in the 200 events during the campaign week.
Danish Entrepreneurship Award - the biggest entrepreneurship event ever seen in Denmark – was a part of the danish national campaign. The event gathered 5000 participants from all walks of the Danish education system.
