BYBT is again proud to be host of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2009. This year we have attracted even more partners than last year and have started since September to put plans in place to MAKE OUR MARK. |
We welcome our 6 Primary schools and 1 nursery, St. Boniface Nursery where toddlers will talk about entrepreneurship in their own way, Lawrence T. Gaye (2nd year partner), Cuthbert Moore Primary, Charles F. Broomes, Luther Thorne, Belmont Primary (2nd year Partner), St. Ambrose Primary (2nd year partner) and Roland Edwards. Most of these schools will be embarking on scientific entrepreneurial projects which will be judged by a qualified group of partners and prizes awarded accordingly. There are several other partners, including The Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Butterfield Bank and the National Council for Science & technology, who have joined us this year and we welcome them as well. Our goals are to continue to tackle poverty alleviation and youth unemployment through entrepreneurship development; to revive the culture of gratitude and to inspire, mentor, connect and engage all youth to become self starters and innovators. |

A Global Entrepreneurial movement! That is what BYBT and its partners are involved in. Congratulations to the visionaries Make your Mark and Kaufman Foundation. |
As the BYBT team and strategic partners continue to Mark our mark, we reiterate the philosophy that no man is an island and even more Caribbean “one hand cannot clap”. To help our regional young people to become innovators, self starters and entrepreneurial human beings in a world which is becoming more and more challenging to live in, we must become entrepreneurial ourselves. We must continue to lead from the front and engage, inspire, mentor and connect our youth to networks, ideas and activities which will help them to acquire the skills, knowledge and contacts necessary to become social and economic builders. At BYBT, this has been our mandate from day one and it will continue to be our mandate as we work side by side with our global, national and regional partners to achieve success.
